The Role GovExec is seeking an Editor & Analyst to join our Forecast International/Military Periscope team. In this role, you'll serve as both a subject matter contributor and a key operational coordinator — ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and comprehensiveness of The Role GovExec is seeking an Editor & Analyst to join our Forecast International/Military Periscope team. In this role, you'll serve as both a subject matter contributor and a key operational coordinator — ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and comprehensiveness of Military Periscope’s world-class database of global military systems. As part of this, you’ll be serving as a content coordinator and editorial manager, ensuring relevant material from sister company Forecast International is properly integrated into the Military Periscope platform. This includes identifying relevant updates, monitoring workflow, and managing integration to ensure the Periscope platform remains current and comprehensive. Responsibilities Update and maintain reports on global military systems, including aircraft, missiles, warships, ordnance, and more. Serve as a liaison between Forecast International content and Military Periscope, identifying relevant materials and ensuring timely incorporation into the database. Research and write a special report covering a variety of geopolitical and defense program-related topics for Military Periscope clients and Forecast International’s content site Defense Security Monitor . Select and summarize news stories covering defense developments and other geopolitical issues every week for our In Our Sights Newsletter. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in international relations, regional studies, security studies, or a related field. 2+ years full-time experience and/or master’s degree. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. General knowledge or interest in military organizations and weapon systems. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
