Position Overview

Shaw Industries is searching for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Totalworx Solutions Specialist. The TSS will play a critical role in driving sales growth by combining technical expertise with sales skills. This individual will be responsible for understanding and articulating the technical aspects of our products while building strong customer relationships to drive sales across the West Coast market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both technical problem-solving and sales, with a deep understanding of the Totalworx flooring accessories.

  • Sales Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth within assigned territories.

  • Qualifications: Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with flooring contractors, end users (facility managers), architects and general contractors. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and applications of our flooring accessories.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to customers, answering product-related questions, and resolving technical issues.

  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate flooring accessories/systems for their specific applications.

  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight benefits and features of the Totalworx products/systems

  • Conduct site visits/job walks/pre-bid meetings to assess technical requirements and provide recommendations for moisture mitigation, prep materials, and other flooring solutions.

  • Collaborate with the technical team to stay updated on technical recommendations and industry standards

  • Focus on Fuse, Diverzify and ESP contractors in the territory.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Monitor customer feedback and understand TotalWorx requirements to win in local markets (loyalty program - inclusion of incentives, rebates, etc.)

  • Manage and update customer information and sales activities in the CRM system.

  • Conduct training sessions for customers and sales partners on product installation, usage, and maintenance. Solution selling based on customer needs.

  • Use of educational materials, such as technical guides and installation videos, to support customer knowledge and success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.

  • Minimum of 3-7 years of industry experience, focusing on technical products within the flooring or coatings industry.

  • Strong understanding of resinous flooring systems and coatings, including protective and floor coatings.

  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, foster customer relationships, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technical proficiency in product specifications, data sheets, and industry standards.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to support business objectives.
