Petme connects pet owners, sitters, and businesses in a community where pets come first. Our mission is to make pet care simple, trusted, and fun. Pet owners can find verified sitters, adopt from shelters, and shop for pet products and services all in one place. Pet sitters can offer services like dog walking and pet sitting with commissions as low as 10%. Businesses can set up a storefront, get verified, and link products and services to posts, reaching a community already interested in their offerings.

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Social Media Director. The Social Media Director will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, optimizing social media presence, and monitoring and analyzing performance metrics. The Social Media Director will also engage with the community, handle public relations, and collaborate with other teams to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in Social Media Marketing, Social Media Optimization (SMO)
• Excellent Communication and Public Relations skills
• Proficiency in developing and executing Content Strategies
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring and analyzing performance metrics
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in the pet care industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
