Job Title : SAP Vertex/FICO Lead Tax Consultant Location : Remote indefinitely; must be comfortable traveling to New York/New Jersey if and when in-person activities resume Employment Type : Full-time / Contract / Regular Environment : SAP S/4 HANA Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Vertex/FICO Lead Tax Consultant for an exciting project based in Princeton, NJ. The role involves working remotely with potential travel to New York or New Jersey for in-person activities. You will be instrumental in supporting the configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP Tax and Vertex solutions within an SAP S/4 HANA environment. Position Overview : As the SAP Vertex/FICO Lead Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for configuring and integrating SAP FICO with Vertex, supporting internal customers in defining tax business requirements, and ensuring the system is properly configured to meet business needs. You'll also lead testing efforts, support defect resolution, and handle multi-country implementations. Key Responsibilities : Act as SAP FI Tax consultant, configuring New GL, AP/AR, AA, PCA, GAAP, foreign currency evaluation, and country-specific taxation Integrate SAP FICO with logistics modules such as MM and SD Leverage SAP S/4 HANA simplifications across FI, MM, SD, PP, and other domains Work with ABAP queries, Report Painter, and Report Writer Implement and configure SAP Workflow with hands-on functional experience in SAP FI & CO modules Support internal clients in defining tax business process requirements and preparing technical specifications Configure the Vertex O Series system, including Legal entity, Tax payers, Tax assist rules, and ECM Execute and manage SAP/Vertex interface testing, functional tests, and defect resolution Design and develop SAP tax solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives Essential Requirements : Strong FICO and accounting skills with a minimum of 8+ years of SAP VERTEX experience Expert knowledge of Vertex interface, including use/input taxation, VAT, Tax codes, Jurisdiction codes, Tax assist rules, and calculation procedures Experience with Vertex Tax Accelerator Mapping, Custom User Exit mapping, and Tax Accelerator reports Advanced knowledge of tax return processes for sales/purchases and reverse charge scenarios Experience with Vertex RFC connectivity and updates Exposure to RPA highly preferred Proven team management and strong communication skills Experience in multi-country implementations and roll-outs Eligibility : Experience in the Retail/Fashion industry is a plus 5-10 years of SAP S/4 HANA experience, including at least one end-to-end full lifecycle implementation S/4 HANA or Simple Finance certification preferred To Apply : If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please submit the following: Your updated resume with contact information Your availability date Your exclusive rate for the project in Princeton, NJ #J-18808-Ljbffr HireKraft - SAP Staffing.
