Job Description The Overnight Grocery Clerk is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Store Manager & Overnight Grocery Lead for the successful operation of their designated store. The Overnight Grocery Lead will be responsible for stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and ensuring the store is ready for customers in the morning. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and 2-4 years of experience working in the Grocery/Retail environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock shelves with new merchandise and ensure that all products are properly placed and labeled
- Organize inventory and maintain a clean and orderly stockroom
- Communicate with Managers regarding department needs
- Maintain center store presentation via proper stocking and displays
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Reporting damaged merchandise to managers
- Creating special displays for promotional items
- Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 Years of Grocery/Retail experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to move and/or lift 75 pounds
- Must have flexibility availably for overnights and weekends
- Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
- Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand
- Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
