About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to the success of our commercial flooring projects (commercial construction experience also considered). This role requires someone who is detail-driven, highly organized, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities. The right candidate will enjoy collaborating with project managers and team members throughout the bid process and project execution, while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to fully understand scope and requirements
• Develop detailed material take-offs and cost estimates
• Partner with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to collect information and ensure accuracy
• Lead the estimating process for multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation through completion
• Provide clear communication and support to both clients and internal teams
• Keep thorough, organized records of bid documents, plans, and related communications
• Participate in the bid process and support project teams during installation phases
• Maintain knowledge of current industry practices, material pricing, and labor trends to enhance competitiveness
• Review and provide feedback on estimates prepared by other team members
• · Act as a resource for colleagues regarding estimating software, plan interpretation, and product knowledge

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required with additional education a plus
• Prior estimating experience in commercial flooring or commercial construction; knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and take-offs strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, transforming 2D drawings into 3D concepts
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with proven ability to collaborate effectively
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills
• Background in project management and/or contract administration preferred
• Proficiency in business software; advanced Microsoft Word and Excel preferred, with experience in digitizing software (RFMS Measure a plus)
