Eitas is currently hiring an Automotive Technician!

Location: Transportation Center, 6400 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64133

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (with overtime as needed)

Compensation: Starting pay range: $23.04/hr – $30.72/hr

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Diagnose and repair automotive/light and medium-duty truck systems in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule
• Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems to specifications, in a safe and timely manner
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to other technicians, internal and external customers as needed
• Respond to service requests submitted by drivers regarding the general maintenance or condition of the vehicles
• Maintain current knowledge of new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology
• Be available for emergency service in the event of an in-route vehicle breakdown

The successful candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of Service Technician experience ( must provide your own tools )
• Good driving record
• Missouri State Inspector’s permit or the ability to obtain this permit
• ( Eitas will assist in obtaining MVI )
• Current Refrigeration, Recycling, and Recovery certification or the ability to obtain this certification
• ( Eitas will assist in obtaining AC Certification )
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
• ( Eitas will assist in obtaining a CDL )
• Federal DOT medical certification or the ability to obtain this certification
• ASE Certifications are a plus
